Fixit99.com provides remote computer repair and online tech support for Windows-based PCs connected to broadband Internet in the USA. Fixit99 is headquartered in Cary, Illinois, USA, a suburb of Chicago, and all of our technicians and other personnel are based in the USA.

Fixit99.com was founded in January, 2009 by Michael Scherenberg, currently CEO. Scherenberg is a 2001 graduate of Purdue University in Computer Engineering. He began his career as a technology strategist for Sears.com, implementing secure communications networks between retail stores and corporate headquarters.

Scherenberg then began consulting through industry giant Computer Sciences Corporation, consulting for clients such as AON, Sears, United Technologies, and other Fortune 500 corporations. He rose to the position of Lead Engineer for Engineering and Technical Operations, managing a team focused on providing managed security services. Scherenberg spoke on security and encryption at the SANS 2007 (SysAdmin, Audit, Network, Security) conference in Orlando, Florida. He then launched MS Tech Solutions, helping to launch and support IT operations for a new company, Cash4Gold.com, which has become America's top buyer of gold.

The core offering of Fixit99 is the service, Remote Computer Repair, available by subscription or per incident to fix computer problems. Technicians are able to solve most problems during the initial phone call, while the end-user watches remotely on their PC screen.
